Biography
Nicholas R Mann was born in southern England in 1952.
He has a degree in ancient history and anthropology
from the University of London. He lived in the US
Southwest for twelve years and now lives in Glastonbury.
He has conducted many tours around Britain, Scotland
and Ireland, and written guidebooks to sacred sites.
He
is the author of books on earth mysteries, male spirituality
and Celtic wisdom. Druid Magic was recently described
on the British Druid Order listing as "the single
best work on the practice of modern Druidry in existence
today." His most well known work, The Isle of
Avalon, provides a thorough exploration of the history
and legends of Glastonbury. The Silver Branch Cards
- for which Nicholas did the artwork - give the practitioner
a hands-on way of working with the myths and symbols
of the Celtic tradition. Most recently, Reclaiming
the Gods offers a provocative view on the reclamation
of the lost and distorted image of the divine masculine
in the western spiritual tradition.
