Cosmology
David
Peat's interests include psychology,
particularly that of Carl Jung, art and general aspects of
culture, including that of Native America. Peat is the author
of many books including a biography of David Bohm, with whom
Peat collaborated, books on quantum theory and chaos theory,
as well as a study of Synchronicity. Since moving to the village
of Pari in Italy Peat has created the Pari
Center for New Learning. Visitors to Pari can talk with
David Peat or attend one of his courses.
David
Ulansey: received his Ph.D. (1984) in Religion from
Princeton University. He has taught at Boston University, the
University of California at Berkeley, Barnard College (Columbia
University), Princeton University, and the University of Vermont.
David is a historian of religion specializing in the religions
of the ancient Mediterranean. He is particularly interested
in the mystery religions, gnosticism, Hermeticism, ancient cosmology,
and the relationship between religion, myth, and the evolution
of consciousness. He is author of The Origins of the Mithraic
Mysteries: Cosmology and Salvation in the Ancient World (Oxford
University Press, 1989), as well as numerous articles in publications
ranging from Scientific American to the Journal of Biblical
Literature. David is a frequent lecturer at the C.G. Jung Institute
of San Francisco.
